Haas Pavilion is a multi-purpose arena located on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. It primarily serves as the home of the Cal Golden Bears men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the women's volleyball team. The arena has a seating capacity of 11,877 and opened in 1999.
Haas Pavilion is named after Walter A. Haas, Jr., a former CEO of Levi Strauss & Co. and a prominent UC Berkeley philanthropist. In addition to sporting events, the arena also hosts concerts, commencements, and other large-scale events.
In 2019, a $10 million renovation project was completed that included updates to the seating, concessions, and scoreboard, among other improvements. Haas Pavilion is known for its energetic fan atmosphere, especially during games against in-state rivals Stanford and UCLA.
